Economic Empowerment of Minorities

Economic empowerment is one of the most pressing needs among minority communities, and the Church has a vital role to play. True empowerment is not charity that keeps people dependent — it is opportunity that restores dignity and unlocks the God-given potential within every person.

When communities are given access to education, skills, fair credit and honest markets, they are able to rise from survival to self-sufficiency. The goal is not merely to relieve poverty for a day, but to build the capacity for families to flourish across generations.

Biblical stewardship teaches that resources are entrusted to us for the good of others. Churches and Christian organisations can lead by creating training programmes, supporting small enterprises, and standing against the discrimination that locks people out of opportunity.

Economic empowerment, rooted in justice and compassion, becomes a powerful testimony — showing that the gospel touches not only the soul but the whole of human life.
